The Pentagon banned the sale of Huawei and ZTE phones in its facilities last month, considering that the use of these devices is “an unacceptable risk”
The social network Facebook admitted on Tuesday to have given Huawei, a company designated by US intelligence services. UU as a threat to national security, and to three other Chinese companies (Lenovo, OPPO and TCL) special access to their users’ data, US media reported. These are agreements between Facebook and these Chinese manufacturers to provide users with access to social network services.
The Silicon Valley company defended that these agreements were “controlled from the beginning” and that it approved the resulting experiences. He also assured that Huawei did not store users’ data on their servers, but used them only for the devices.
